Questions re: W/Mo Soloing Build
Hi guys. :3 Sorry if it's bad to post something like this, but I thought I would ask you guys for a little advice.
Also, I appologise if this has been answered elsewhere. I looked, but couldn't seem to find anything like what I'm looking for.
What would you say is the best W/Mo solo build? I'm starting a new character, and honestly I've never played a Warrior before. Is W/Mo even still a practical mix? If not, what are your suggestions instead?
Basically, I want to be able to solo but still have some support/healing skills to keep myself alive. Is that smart, or should I just stick with the Healing Signet and have the rest as Warrior skills like in this thread?:

(Hope it's okay to link.)
Anyway, any help at all would be very much appreciated! Thank you ahead of time, and sorry for being newbish! <3
Edit: I forgot to mention. This isn't for PvP, obviously, it for fighting monsters and etc. Farming, I guess you'd say.

Well, as I am sure you may have already suspected, there is no "best" build
Fighting avicara is different from hydras is different from fissure spiders is different from griffons... well you get the idea.
The best advice is to KNOW YOUR ENEMIES. If you know what you're up agains you can plan on how to best counter them. This is what I do when I am coming up with new builds, and I know this is what others do as well (Racthoh - right? )
Here is what I do.
Choose an area to farm. Let's say the Hydras N. or Augury.
Then look them up on guildwiki. The wiki has a list of skills that are used by virtually every monster in the game.
Come up with a build to counter those monsters.
Keep in mind what skills will be used against you and you'll be fine.
If you are looking for builds for specific monsters, you can always use the search button, it helps a lot.
Good luck!

W/Mo Farming Build:
Skills:
1. Adrenal attack skill
2. Watch Yourself!
3. Mending
4. Dolyak Sig, or Endure Pain if you don't have the Sig.
5. Balthazar's Spirit
6. Mark of Protection/Healing Hands/Gladiator's Defense (Elite)
7. Healing Breeze
8. Shielding Hands
Attribute Pts:
Weapon Skill: 13 (or whatever req. you have)
Tactics: 7
Strength: 8
Healing Prayers: 8
Protection Prayers: 7
Upon leaving town, cast Balthazar's Spirit on yourself, wait for energy, then cast Mending. You should have anywhere from 10-15 energy now.
Pros: Very simple build to tweak/improve on, works on just about everything. You can kill Forest Titans with this build. If you have a good weapon with a lower req. it can be even more effective.
Cons: Anything with an enchantment strip spell will eat you alive in most cases.
Advice: As stated above, know your enemy. Watch your energy rates. Stay away from most Mesmers and Necros.
If you're out for basic material salvage,runes:
+ means a good amount
++ means alot
-Charr: ++Hides, which trade for Fur
-Undead: ++Bones, ++Glittering Dust, Linen, Silk, +Wood, +Iron, ++Cloth, +Runes
-Lightning Drakes: +Bones, +Scales
-White Mantle: +Iron, Steel, ++Cloth, +Linen, +Silk, +Tanned Hide, +Runes
-Caromi Tengu: ++Iron, +Steel, ++Feathers, ++Tanned Hide, ++Runes
-Fire Imps: ++Granite Slabs, Charcoal
-Thorn Stalkers: ++Wood, ++Plant Fibers
-Devourers: ++Shells
-Magguma: Fur, Iron, Steel, Glittering Dust, +Tanned Hide, +Runes
-Spiders: ++Silk, ++Shells
-Avicara: ++Iron, ++Steel, ++Tanned Hide, ++Cloth, +Wood, ++Runes
-Forest Titans: ++Iron, ++Steel, ++Wood, ++Granite Slabs, ++Runes, ++Risk, ++Panic, ++Fun

I was going to quote that even before I saw you mention my name.
The lack of complete randomness is what makes farming possible. Having the general knowledge of "okay, so-and-so uses this line of spells... such-and-such doesn't use hexes" really gives you the edge. Using the same build in every area just won't work, and it amazes me at the number of people I'll see run head first with enchantments on into a group where it'll be shattered instantly.
If you're going to farm any area, get to know it extensively beforehand. From personal experience with some of the people I try to help it makes it painfully clear why some can't succeed in certain areas without constant trial and error.
